The New Pioneer, Laughlin

The hotel is conveniently located right on the River Walk, offering unbeatable value. The rooms, though listed as Superior Queen, pleasantly surprised me with two double beds. The strong cigarette odor in the room was a major turn-off, lingering even on my belongings after leaving.

The hotel had a strong cigarette smoke smell upon arrival, no curtains on the window letting in too much light in the morning, and the smell persisted throughout my stay. I requested a different room due to my child's severe asthma and ended up with a smoking room. The cleanliness was not up to par, evident by a dirty sock in the corner and a spitball on the ceiling.

The hotel has a convenient location right by the river, offering a peaceful ambiance but could be closer to the casino and restaurants. The rooms had a bit of a musty smell and felt like a dungeon, leading to a mixed experience. While the dining options were limited, the riverfront setting added charm to the stay.

The hotel's location needs improvement both inside and outside, but it offers a convenient proximity to a riverfront suite and nearby Starbucks and Bubba Gump's. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the rooms falls short, lacking amenities and displaying a rundown appearance.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were big and clean, although I wished they smelled more fresh. The service was lacking, with rude staff trying to cut corners in this tough economy. The location was nice, near the river but a bit far from other attractions. The dining options were a hit and miss, delicious at times but with long waits. Overall, the hotel had its ups and downs.
